"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT"

"Well, things are going pretty well this season, so now with another year's experience we plan to expand our planting for the 2009 season. We are asking for those of you that plan to do this again next year, to send us your applications before the end of the year. This guarantees your membership in the coop for 2009. Final payments for the season need be in before our planting starts in earnest, March 1st, 2009."

What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

CSA’s, including the Virginia Organic Cooperative is a partnership of mutual commitment between a farm and a community of supporters which provides a direct link between the production and consumption of food. Supporters cover a portion of the farm operating budget by purchasing a share of the season's harvest.

How Does the Virginia Organic Cooperative CSA Work?

One share is designed to provide the weekly vegetable needs for a family of four. A Half Share is ideal for couples. As our production increases: fruit, meat, eggs and dairy products will also be available through our CSA.
Our CSA members receive a box of 6-8 fresh, locally-grown, organic produce once a week from late spring through early fall. Winter shares with items from the freezer and the greenhouse will hopefully be available this fall.
We will be offering home delivery to Northern VA residents to receive your shares.
Please give us your input on your vegetable needs so we can tailor our planting. Our goal is to sell only products naturally grown in Virginia, especially Fauquier County, and all the products we produce ourselves are certified organic.
